Ed Meyercord

 Ed is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Extreme Networks, a global leader in providing software-driven networking solutions to large enterprise customers in several industries including healthcare and education. Previously, he was the CEO of Critical Alert Systems, Cavalier Telephone & TV and TalkAmerica, companies that deliver telecom and healthcare IT services. 

Several years ago, Ed was introduced to Jody by his brother-in-law and became passionate about JW Actors Studio. He began working with Jody to integrate his "yes and" improv techniques into the culture of Extreme Networks and to personally better connect with corporate audiences worldwide. The partnership has generated outstanding results. 

When Jody first shared his experience working with people in the special needs community, Ed immediately embraced his vision and became an early supporter of SKIT. His first cousin Sam was born with Down syndrome. He has been amazed by the unconditional love, unwavering support and commitment of his aunt, uncle and other family members over the past 40 years. Having witnessed the challenges of social and intellectual development associated with this disability, Ed is truly passionate about the promise of SKIT and the transformational impact it can have on so many lives. 

He lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and youngest daughter. He has a son who lives in San Francisco and another daughter attending university in Dallas.
